Dallas has a new go-to spot for seafood, cocktails, and coastal vibes. The Hampton Social, a popular chain with locations across the U.S., finally landed in Dallas, opening its doors on March 20th, 2025. Sitting in the heart of downtown, this three-story restaurant and bar made an instant splash. A friend and I checked it out over the weekend, and it’s safe to say this spot was worth the visit.
The Vibe
At first impression, it’s clear The Hampton Social leans into its beachy, East Coast aesthetic- think airy interiors, nautical accents, and plenty of Instagrammable moments. The aesthetics and drink menu alone make it a prime location for a girls’ night, date night, or even a well-curated solo date. If you’re into the “girl dinner” trend, this might also be the spot for you (try the frozé, tuna tartare, and parmesan-truffle fries).
Just days after their opening on 03/20/ 2025, the restaurant buzzed with energy but didn’t feel overwhelming. The dressy-casual atmosphere matched the chic setting, perfect for letting go on a Friday evening after the work week.

What to Eat
Tuna Tartare – Fresh and simple with salty taro chips as a vessel for the creamy avocado and fresh tuna. I loved every bite.
Crab & Shrimp Bruschetta – Good, with a satisfying crunch from the toasted bread, but not a dish I’d rush back for.
Oven-Roasted Octopus – Delicious and perfectly tender with a creamy sauce and roasted potatoes. I ate this as an entre, even though it was listed as an appetizer. The octopus was plated generously with a bigger proportion that was enough to share.
Creamy Spicy Vodka Pasta – Pure comfort food. This dish was everything the name claims it to be, with a very light spice that does not overwhelm the dish. It provided a nice balance to the overall meal we ordered, too.
Truffle Mushroom Pizza – Decent, but not a standout. Other dishes outshine this one, but it’s still a good addition to the menu to support a variety of palettes.
Parmesan-Truffle Fries - Sooooo cheesy with the perfect amount of truffle and a garlic aioli
Shrimp Tacos – Well-seasoned shrimp with slaw and fresh jalapeños for a kick. Tasty, but similar versions can be found at other local restaurants.

Churro Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream & Caramel Drizzle – Warm, fluffy, and dusted in cinnamon sugar. The contrast between warm cake, goey caramel and cold ice cream? Perfection.
Donut Drops – Don’t question it—just order them. Light, crispy, fresh from the fryer, and served with vanilla bean ice cream. A chef’s kiss moment.
On My List for Next Time:
Braised Short Rib – A top pick for meat lovers, according to our server.
Crispy Coconut Tofu – A promising vegetarian option.
Oysters – A signature order at The Hampton Social.
Lobster Roll – A classic coastal dish worth a try.
What to Drink
Hampton Frozé – A signature house blend that’s as refreshing as it is photogenic.
Pink Reverie – Fruity with notes of citrus and guava, topped with a bubbly pink foam for extra flair.

Best Seat in the House
With three floors to explore, there’s no shortage of great seating options. My recommendation? Start downstairs in the front room for prime lighting, a greenery-covered wall with neon signage (perfect for photos), and friendly service. Or, have a seat on the first-floor patio for some fresh air. After dinner and dessert, head upstairs to the rooftop for music, drinks, and a killer downtown view.
If the rooftop is more your vibe, you can order food up there too. The bar scene felt like a beach club, with lively mingling and a relaxed but energetic atmosphere. Bonus points for the firepit seating—if you can snag a spot, do it.
The Verdict
The Hampton Social arrives in Dallas just in time for patio season, bringing seafood-forward dining with enough turf options to satisfy any group. Whether you’re planning a girls’ night, a casual family outing, or a date night, this spot delivers. Add it to your weekend plans while the weather is still perfect for rooftop cocktails and late-night bites.
